Forge Welding Class
New England School of Metalwork
June 4-7, 2004

Mike, Brian, Charley, Jon, George, Jack, Ben
This class had six students, seen above. Their goals were to learn how to forge-weld successfully and consistently. After two days, all knew what had to be done in basic forge-welding situations, and were beginning to branch out to new and challenging work. They accomplished making chain tongs using a drop-the-tongs weld, chain links, rings, t-welds, faggot welds and other interesting connections. Basket weave and pineapple twist handles seemed to be favorites.
